Say No to Proposed PNG Pipeline

Piedmont Natural Gas propose the installation of a natural gas pipeline in Northern Greenville County. They propose building a 12-inch distribution line with three proposed routes, one of which is located in Travelers Rest near the headwaters of the Reedy River Watershed. This pipeline is not desired or necessary and will provide infrastructure to foster urban sprawl in rural areas. The scar of a 50-75 foot wide swath of cleared land spanning miles throughout our watershed's western reach will cause significant land disturbance that will be detrimental to the water quality of the Reedy River watershed, especially when waters are crossed by or adjacent to the construction. Sediment is already one of the largest, most difficult to manage pollutants in the Reedy. We do not need anything that
